January- April 2017: Important Increase for the Malaysian Exports Image
The Malaysian exports registered an important increase in the first months of this year. Exports in the Q1 of 2017 in Malaysia 

In the first quarter (Q1) of 2017, comprised between January – March, the exports were represented by five particular fields.

•    manufactured goods accounted for 80.8% of the overall exports (and a value of RM 181.48 billion);
•    mining goods (9.4%);

The export increase was observed in February, when it reached the highest level recorded in the last seven years. The International Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) announced that the export level in February increased by 26.5%, reaching an overall value of RM 71.8 billion. 

At the level of February 2017, the top exports were performed in the case of the following products: 

•    electrical products;
•    electronical products;
•    palm oil;
•    products based on palm oil;
•    refined petroleum products.
